* There is very little official information available on Advent memory upgrades and while I've done my best to make sure this page is accurate I would recommend double-checking before buying. One way is by running a system scanner like the one provided by Crucial Memory (shameless plug for advert below).
Adding RAM is the most cost effective way to boost your computer's performance.

Replacement recovery discs can be ordered from a company called "The Tech Guys". More information is available on their website - http://support.thetechguys.com//recoverymedia/.

FAQ
AndyK sent this info in - The Advent 7255dvd is a Asus L7200/L7300 series notebook. On the notebook you will find a bar code at the end of this code you will find a capital letter in this case E. The drivers are avalible on the Asus web site, start at notebooks then follow the links. One thing to note though on the Asus site for the L7000E it gives you sound drivers for the AC 97 sigma_tel sound drivers. THESE DO NOT WORK. As a last resort and out of sheer desparation I decided to try the sound drivers from the L7000B series and hey presto they worked.
